Correlation of Fatigue with Cognition and Motor Performance among Stroke Patients: A Pilot Study

Introduction: Post-Stroke Fatigue (PSF) is the most common debilitating and persistent symptom after a stroke.The impact of fatigue increases during first year post-stroke. When recovery has taken place,fatigue could remain an important problem with disabling consequences for everyday life. Understanding theeffect PSF on cognition mobility outcomes will help to better manage existing symptoms in strokepatients develop strategies optimize cognitive performance patients chronic stageof stroke. With this background mind, present study aims at establishing relationship between post-strokefatigue motor among persons stroke.Aim: To correlate stroke patientsMaterials Method: This pilot where 15 post-stroke fulfilling inclusion exclusioncriteria were included by using purposive sampling technique. was assessed Scale forMotor Cognitive Function. Motor Function Fugl Meyer upper lowerextremity, Chedokes Arm Hand Inventory, Lower Extremity Functional Scale, Berg Balance Scale.Cognition Montreal Assessment Scale. Using scores these scales, fatiguewas correlated functions Karl Pearson’s correlation test.Result: The found moderately significant Cognition (r=-0.605 p<0.05) anda highly (r=-0.804 p<0.001).Conclusion: provides evidence that relationships both motorperformance performance. It consider influence when planning anddelivering interventions individuals
